Our Story:
Hello and welcome to The Eclectic Nest, a small family run business. Here is a little bit of our story and who we are.

We are the Huppert's; my name is Shawna. I am a wife and mother of three. I worked the corporate grind years, felt like I never had time with our kids between school and daycare, and I needed a massive change. Our children were really craving family connection, but it always felt like we never spent enough time together and I wanted something better for them, for us as a family. I've always wanted to own my own business and be my own boss. I have always been creative. I love the freedom that comes with it and the excitement of change and randomness. I have also always been inspired by nature. Combining the two gave me an idea that I had to run with. So, I made the decision to venture into the unknown. I left my job of 15 years (which was terrifying!). I decided to homeschool our three children AND start our small family-run business (which is also all terrifying!). Hahaha! The Eclectic Nest was that idea.

The Eclectic Nest is our small family-run business, consisting of my husband, our three kids, and myself. I have taken the foundational wisdom about herbs and crafting that my grandma shared with me as a child and built upon it. In our shop you will find and eclectic assortment of apothecary, craft, and woodworking items that we hope you'll love. Inspired by nature we strive to use what we find and/or grow on our property, forage for, or purchase locally for our products. Our kids are hands on, helping with different stages of the various crafting processes. They are super excited that we have started this business and are sharing our creations.
